Random pics

7.22.09

Here are some random pictures that I keep forgetting to upload to the blog.

We attended a Memorial Day party at my Aunt Sandra's house. Chloe got to play with her older cousin, Tatum, whom she adores. Mimi bought them matching dresses:

Chloe had a blast riding around in Tatum's golf cart. Chris and I can only hope and pray that her driving skills will improve over the next 13 or so years. Eek!

Next on the agenda was Grandparents Camp at Mimi and Pawpa's house. Don't the cousins all look like they are having a blast?

Seriously, though, they had a blast. Here are some pics of Chloe and her cousin Davis at the Children's Museum downtown (or oooooseum, as Chloe says).

For the Fourth of July, we attended Kate's 4th of July Extravaganza! One might assume that the highlight of that party for Chloe was playing with the other kids, jumping in the moonwalk, playing with the glow-in-the-dark necklaces Kate bought, etc, etc, etc. But alas, that was not the case. Chloe's favorite part of the evening was dressing up in Auntie Kate's finest jewelry and high heels. What a great Auntie!!!

Our Last Family of Three Vacation

Building Sand Castles

7.21.09

We just got back on Monday from our family vacation to Destin, Florida. It was relaxing and fun -- once we got there. The car ride there...not so much. Between mine and Chloe's bathroom breaks and my swelling hands and feet, it was slllllooooooow moving, to say the least. Traveling such a long distance in the car during my third trimester was probably not one of my smartest ideas. Nevertheless, Chloe had a blast once we got there. Plus, we broke up the trip by stopping in Baton Rouge. Building sand castles, walking on the beach and swimming in the pool in the evenings were her favorite activities.

Swimmin' with the Fishes

7.07.09

Chloe loved her swim lesson last week! She even invited her swim teacher, Ms. Heather, back to the house to play with her toys. :) She becomes more confident with every trip to the pool. She is working on using the kickboard to swim and kick and going underwater for increasingly longer periods of time.

I am beginning my seventh month of pregnancy and have to see the doctor every two weeks now. This got me thinking...where has the time gone??? The second pregnancy has literally gone light-years faster than the first. This revelation, coupled with the birth of two babies recently (Congrats, Kelly!; Congrats, Eric!), made me nostalgic. I started looking back at newborn pictures of Chloe Jane. How could this possibly have been three whole years ago??? And how could she possibly look any different??? Here are some of my favorites:

I'll stop now. Mostly because I'm hormonal -- and Chris is out of town -- and I could post pictures all night long if I don't just quit now. ;)

TOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMORROW!

6.25.2009

Hot enough out there for you guys???? I'm now 25 weeks pregnant and I'll admit the heat is getting to me. Or atleast it's getting to my cankles. :)

Chloe will start swimming lessons next week, which she is very excited about. We have been going to the swimming pool 3 or 4 times a week -- admittedly as much for Chloe's enjoyment as for the benefit of my lower back.

Today was a big day for Chloe! She had her three year well visit at the doctor. She weighs 33 lbs. and she is a little over 38 inches tall. Sweet baby is growing up so darn fast! She also had her first dentist visit (well-TECHNICALLY we went when she was one year old and chipped half of her front tooth off, but I digress). She really liked the dentist, especially the "special" cherry toothpaste and the fluoride treatment that tasted like "birthday cake icing."

Chloe Jane's Third Birthday Party

6.14.09

Yesterday was Chloe's 3rd Birthday party. She had a blast with all her friends and cousins. And let's just say that Mommy and Daddy are happy she's happy. But mostly we're happy it's over. What a looooooong day. :) Here are some pics:

Oh my goodness! I'm so excited about my party, y'all!

Chloe and her cake. She thought it was THE most gorgeous cake EVA!

Daddy worked the Sno Cone machine with amazing skillz.

Delish, Daddy!

The waterslide portion of the moonwalk was a kid fav.

Chloe never really got the hang of the Slip-N-Slide like her older cousins, but she worked that catwalk, girlfriends.

This is one happy 3-year-old, folks. Chloe received her very own bouncy house for a birthday gift. Parents, I will let you know more later, but so far I HIGHLY recommend this product, if only for its rare ability to tire a 3-year-old.

Who could ask for anything more?

Show Off

6.12.09

Chloe was too excited about her birthday party tomorrow to wind down and fall asleep tonight. She was in a performance mode, so Chris grabbed the video camera so that we could capture some of her silliest moments (and accomplishments). We sometimes wonder what we did for entertainment before we had her???

Where is November???

I never cared for Thanksgiving myself.

Counting to 20!

We're still working on counting past 10.

Honestly, Chris and I can't figure out where she gets it?
